Ruthie Davis for Spring/Summer 2009

What can you expect to see for Spring/Summer 2009? According to designer Ruthie Davis her luxury footwear collection will be fresh and exciting.

"Pop Art is the theme for spring/summer ’09. The platforms are higher, the colors more electric. The shoes have clean, modern and architectural lines, but with a colorful and playful attitude. The line will feature candy colors (such as apple green, aqua, hot pink and lilac) that are girly, with a sporty twist. Materials like pearlized kidskin and patent, cobra glitter snake and neon rubber will be prevalent."

Ruthie Davis is the designer and creator of DAVIS BY RUTHIE DAVIS. A modernist who loves all things high tech and high fashion. She takes materials like Titanium, Chrome, Graphite and Carbon Fiber, and shapes these elements into cutting edge, architectural stilettos, wedges, and platforms with sleek and sexy upper patterns.

From the runways of New York fashion week to celebrities spotted wearing these innovative designs, Davis by Ruthie Davis is certainly making her mark in the fashion footwear world.

A friend of mine works in a store that sells this line. Found out lots about the line. Apparently they have to ship shoes back because of all the 'hand-made' flaws. For this type of price points, wouldn't anyone want perfections. I keep seeing retailers marking down her styles. This explains a lot.

Her shoes look great but there are simply too many imperfections. Sizing is very irregular. It could be the same style but once it's in a different color, the size jumps all over the place. How do you secure a fan base? Internet purchases highly not recommended. You must try it on in-store.

Way too pricey for the type of quality. Not every pair is perfect so be sure to check it out closely.

I totally disagree with you. My shoes are made in one of the best factories in Italy. The only other brand they make is Prada. I would love to know the name of the store because a lot of stores use this excuse and blame shoe quality when they can't pay their bills. You should really do all of your research before you sell someone out.
