"Life changed in 1989 when I first strapped a tank on my back and a mask on my face and entered the beautiful underwater world. There is nothing topside to compare to the rich vibrant world that lives just feet below the surface. From the cold and often dark waters of the Pacific Northwest and California to the bathtub warm clear waters of the Caribbean and South Pacific I have marveled at the beauty that is in front of me.

Topside I am in my 28th season at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, currently as Theatre Thechnology Engineer where I develop and deploy custom software for scenery automation, video and lighting systems." - Stuart Cotts

Alarm Shoes For Prostitutes

What will they think of next! These shoes have a built in audible alarm to scare off attackers, and when the alarm is triggered, the prostitute's position is transmitted to either the police (in places where prostitution is legal) or to sex worker's rights groups.

"Each sandal will have an audible alarm system, which emits a piercing noise to scare off attackers. The shoes are also outfitted with a built in GPS receiver and an emergency button that relays both the prostitute’s location and a silent alarm signal to public emergency services. Where there are problematic relations with law enforcement, i.e. most places, the shoes will relay the signal to sex workers’ rights groups, such as PONY in New York, COYOTE in Los Angeles, or SWEAT in South Africa."

The Fitflop Is Here! What's It All About?

7 REASONS WHY EVERYBODY IS WEARING FITFLOPS:
